My name is Isabelle Olmo

Hello and welcome to my page!

I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I lived until I was twelve before moving to Florida, where I’ve called various cities home ever since. Books have always been one of my greatest loves, and while I enjoy just about every genre, my favorites are fantasy, sci-fi, dystopian, horror, and romance.

So, where did the idea for The Queen’s Red Guard come from? Back in May 2019, after Game of Thrones finished airing, I found myself deeply frustrated, especially by what felt like the callous treatment of so many character arcs. I remember thinking, I’m going to do this my way. That spark led me to begin drafting Queen & Conqueror. The very first scene I wrote was the first dinner between Alton and Almira, and from there, the story blossomed into a massive world of its own.

When I finished Queen & Conqueror just 29 days later, I let it sit for a while before beginning Lady of Istok in August 2019, which I completed 31 days later. Like so many of my other stories, both manuscripts initially found their place on my shelf. But this time, my friends encouraged me to do something different: publish them.

And here I am.

Queen & Conqueror was my eighteenth manuscript, and the first one I truly felt ready to share with the world.
